WILLY BLIZZARD RECEIVES COVID SONGWRITING GRANT

We are the happy recipients of a songwriter grant from the good folks at Creative BC.  Apparently we qualified for this special Covid arts funding because we played so many gigs before the pandemic hit, we were automatically awarded the funding.  We immediately got to work on our Covid novelty song, “I Love the Bum That You’ve Become”.  We dwelt on our Covid experience until it turned into original music.  We know you can relate to being trapped at home, and this is where our inspiration took us.  I love the bum that you’ve become / Your scrappy ways and your careless tongue / The way your life has come undone / I love the bum that you’ve become












					

		

					

	



			
	

				

										                	
  • Willy Takes a Break
    
			
    After ten years of active writing, recording and touring, we are taking a well-earned break. The release of our latest album, Armadillo Road, was followed by a busy touring season. We would like to thank all those who helped to make this a great journey: receptive audiences, talented fellow musicians, concert presenters, and the many amazing folks we have been privileged to meet, and the friends we have made, along the way. Although we are taking a sabbatical from
    
active booking, if the right call should come, we’d still be up for a show or two.  In the meantime, be kind, be safe, be healthy.
