Leaving behind the tour van at the very bottom of the Burin Peninsula, we walked on a ferry and ended up . . . in France! After 8,000 km, what a treat to ride our own Vancouver bicycles on the small French islands of St. Pierre et Miquelon, off the south coast of Newfoundland. So awesome to experience an authentic blend of French culture, complete with wine and baguettes, in a Terre Neuve setting. C’etait magnifique!

I imagine it’s been quite the trip, all-in-all. I’m wondering what’s on your plate for the return trip. Doing any shows coming back through Ontario?
what a trip will you ever come home regards phil
Hey Phil!
We sure will, if the truck holds up.
Hi Andrea and John,
It’s super you got to do this! I was in St. John’s in August…love the province but I haven’t been down the Burin all the way to the ferry and the French islands. My favorite part of NFLD is around Gros Morne park. Lerrin tells me that when you get back to the mainland you are heading into the USA. St Andrews by the Sea has a campground by the water (a day trip from Sydney) and it’s unique too!
Enjoy!
Lew
Love the photo! Sounds like you are having a wonderful trip!
How fabulous is THAT?! We really wanted to visit those islands when in Nfld, but just didn’t find enough time. So glad you were able to experience that! Can’t wait to hear all about it.
