Lethbridge Folk Club and Lavender

Willy Blizzard has been out in Southern Alberta and BC playing music and meeting some amazing people along the way.  The faithful old truck took us through stunning springtime scenery in the Rocky Mountains.  Rivers were getting higher and trees were in their first blush. We were privileged to feature at the Lethbridge Folk Club in a wonderful venue called the Wolf’s Den. Of course, the historic Auditorium Hotel in Nanton brings its own framework of hilarity.  We inadvertently left our stage banner behind in Nanton, not unusual for a band on the run.

On our way back through the central Okanagan, we stopped at a beautiful lavender farm. The gracious host, Andrea McFadden, explained the history and workings of their family property (www.okanaganlavender.com). We grabbed a few sprigs of lavender to hang in the van to offset the stench of touring musicians.
